# Referrals

> Your referral link is how you bring traders to Alpha. Here is where to find it, how attribution works, and what your referrals see.

## What a referral is

A referral is anyone who signs up for Alpha using your link or code. From that moment they are attributed to you: their trading generates revenue share for you, and they count toward your network for the Top 1% tier and for points.

## Find your link

**Profile → Referrals.** You will see your link, your code, the number of traders you have referred, and your earnings to date.

## How attribution works

* A new user enters your code on the signup screen, or installs through your link and the code is pre-filled.
* You cannot refer yourself, and duplicate accounts are closed.

## What your referrals get

The same Alpha as everyone else, at the same fees. There is no discount for using a referral code, and no penalty either. Your earnings come from Alpha's share of the fee, not from theirs.

## Multi-level network

Your network is three levels deep:

* **Level 1:** people you refer
* **Level 2:** people they refer
* **Level 3:** people those people refer

## Tips that work

* Put the link in your bio and pinned post.
* Add it to the welcome message of any group you run.
* Share a PnL card and your profile link together. Proof plus a door.
* Host a [competition](/grow/host-a-competition) so your community joins in one wave.
