> How Alpha protects your account, how to avoid phishing and impersonation scams, and what to do if you think you've been hacked.

## How does Alpha protect my account?

* **Biometric login** (Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint)
* **2FA** for sensitive actions (withdrawals, large trades)
* **Email and SMS alerts** for logins, trades, and withdrawals
* **Wallet keys stored in your device's secure enclave**
* **Real-time fraud monitoring**

## How do I avoid phishing?

  Alpha will **never** DM you on social media asking for your password, code, or to "verify" your account.
</Warning>

* Only download Alpha from the official **App Store** or **Google Play**
* Never share your login code or password with anyone — not even Alpha support
* Always check the URL — only `tradealpha.app` and its official subdomains are legitimate
* Bookmark official URLs instead of clicking links from emails or DMs

## Someone is impersonating Alpha — what do I do?

[Report it via support](/support/contact-support). Include:

* Screenshots
* The source (Twitter/X handle, Telegram username, fake URL, etc.)
* Any messages they sent you

## I think my account was hacked

    Immediately log in and change your login credentials.

    Go to **Settings → Security** and revoke any active sessions you don't recognize.

    Report the unauthorized activity with as much detail as possible.

## Can I use a VPN to access Alpha?

No. Using a VPN to bypass geographic restrictions violates our Terms of Service and can result in account closure and frozen funds.

## Are perpetuals risky?

Yes. Perpetual futures with leverage are **high-risk**. You can lose your entire margin in minutes. Never trade with money you can't afford to lose.
