Do I have a wallet?

Yes — but you don’t need to think about it. When you sign up, Alpha automatically creates a secure wallet for you using Privy. There’s no seed phrase to write down and no private keys to manage.

Who controls my wallet?

You do. The wallet is tied to your login (email, phone, or social account). Alpha cannot access or move your funds without your authorization.

Do I get a seed phrase or private key?

No. Alpha uses a smart wallet system that doesn’t require you to manage a seed phrase.
This is intentional — seed phrases are the #1 way users lose funds in crypto. Your wallet is recovered using your secure login.

What if I lose my phone?

Your wallet is tied to your login credentials, not your device. Just download Alpha on a new phone, log in with the same email/phone you used before, and your account and funds will be there.

What if I forget my login?

Recover access using the recovery method you set up at signup. Tap “Trouble signing in?” on the Sign In screen.

How is my account protected?

  • Biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint)
  • 2FA for sensitive actions (withdrawals, large trades)
  • Email and SMS alerts for logins, trades, and withdrawals
  • Device-level security through your phone’s secure enclave
  • Real-time fraud monitoring

What happens to my funds if Alpha shuts down?

Your funds live in a non-custodial wallet that you control via your login. Alpha cannot freeze or seize your funds. In the unlikely event Alpha shuts down, you retain access to your wallet via Privy’s recovery flow.

Can I export my wallet to use elsewhere?

Wallet export availability depends on your account configuration. Contact support if you need to export.
