Tax treatment of perpetual futures varies by country and is your responsibility. Alpha does not provide tax advice. Consult a qualified tax professional in your jurisdiction.

Will Alpha send me tax documents?

Alpha provides trading history exports that you can share with your tax advisor. Whether Alpha issues specific tax forms (such as a 1099 in the US) depends on the entity structure and your country of residence.

Where can I find my trading history?

Go to Settings → Statements to download your full trading history as a CSV. The export includes:
  • All trades (entries, exits, partial closes)
  • Funding payments
  • Fees
  • Deposits and withdrawals

Are gains on perps taxable?

In most countries, yes — but the specific treatment (capital gains, ordinary income, derivative-specific rules) varies widely. Common categories include:
  • Capital gains (in some jurisdictions)
  • Ordinary income (in others)
  • Specialized derivatives treatment (in some markets)
A qualified tax professional in your country can tell you which applies.

What records should I keep?

  • Your full trading history CSV from Settings → Statements
  • Deposit and withdrawal records
  • Records of any conversions between crypto and fiat
